Our AM Unlock & Perform AM Group Strength Training are more advanced classes consisting of 60 minute sessions Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 6:30am and 9:30am. These sessions are designed for our long term class members and focus on more advanced movements and programming. 

RISE & GRIND

TUE & THU 6:30 Am with jason

Our Strength and Conditioning Classes are broken down into ~10 mins warmup/mobility, ~30 minutes of Strength and ~20 minutes of Conditioning. They are ideal for anyone just starting out with our strength classes or anyone who wants to start training with dumbbells/barbells. Drop ins are available. 

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

This class is coached by Evan and is a beneficial, educational, and fun way to kickstart your fitness journey and reach your fitness goals.

This class is tailored for all people and is professionally programmed to increase strength, lose fat, and define muscular toning. 

This 3-day split between Monday (Full body), Wednesday (Lower body), and Friday (Upper body) is the best way to progress towards your fitness goals

FIT HIIT

tue & thu 5:30 pm with Evan

 

FIT HIIT classes are designed to improve cardiovascular health and burn calories via high intensity training. The classes are adjusted to your own level of fitness so you can safely improve and gradually progress. 

The exercises mainly focus on dumbbell resistance versus barbell resistance and, in general, this class is more suitable for beginners compared to Strength & Conditioning Class. 

These classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Fitness Forever is designed to help you Stay Active & Stay Social! Enjoy our bright, open, spacious indoor astro facility and keep active. This instructor-led 45 minute program is designed to give you a great workout, building bone mineral density, while being gentle on your joints. Improve your strength, flexibility, and balance while having the opportunity to socialize and make new friends with tea after. 

Max Mobility & Mastery

Our Saturday morning class incorporates multiple styles of training, keeping your training fresh and varied. The class is divided into three parts: skill mastery, balance and mobility, and VO2 Max work. In this class, you can learn a new party trick, build strength in large ranges of motion, work on your balance and control, and improve your aerobic capacity. Suitable for all levels, just come with an open mind!

FAQ

are there age restrictions?

You must be at least 16 to avail of a gym or class membership.

do i need to bring anything?

We recommend you bring a yoga mat, a small towel and water.

are the classes suitable if i have pain?

If you have pain we recommend you see a physiotherapist and adhere to their advice on whether exercise classes are appropriate or not. We do make individual adjustments to sessions to accommodate attendees’ restrictions. It’s important to note that you will be in a group setting so the coach won’t be with you for the whole session. 

I have never done classes before, can i join?

Yes, newbies to the gym & classes are most welcome. We even have a New Member Guidebook to make your on-ramp process as smooth as possible. 

Why do I need to pre-book a training slot?

We have a limit to the numbers in our class and in our facility at any one time, thus you must book a training slot every time you come to the gym. This pre-booking ensures you have a slot in our class or a rack space to workout in if you’re just using the gym. Each rack space includes a barbell, bench and weights. We believe your time is precious, so when you’re in the gym we want you to workout, not stand around. 👍

Do you have any kids classes?

Unfortunately, due to covid-19 restrictions, we have had to cancel all kid classes. Right now we cannot say when they will be back. However, we do offer personal training at a discounted rate for u16. They can work with a trainer 1-1 or they can come in a group with their friends, which works out a little cheaper. What's the minimum age for gym membership?

The minimum age is 16. However we do allow under 16’s to use the gym if we feel they can train safely & are under the guidance of a Trainer. We offer Personal Training at a discounted rate for u16. Do you have a couples / buddy package?

We do not have a buddy discount at present. We have put a lot of work into our membership prices and we feel they are competitive and fair. Instead of offering buddy rates or newcomer promotions, we instead focus on providing value to our existing members. Why do I need to check in when I arrive?

We have a limited number of available slots at any given hour. If you reserve a slot in a fully booked training time but do not cancel in time, someone else will miss out. By keeping a track of check-ins we are able to see if people are attending their slots. 

Check-ins are done through the app after you’ve reserved a slot. 👍

Why is my time limited for a workout?

Your workout is limited because of a number of reasons. We know your time is precious so we operate on a slot booking basis, this ensures that there is space for you to train when you reserve a slot. We don’t like gyms where you have to spend half your time standing around. To provide the same service for the group after you we have to set a time limit on your slot. Typically slots are 1 hour 15 minutes. Our members have found that to be ample time to get a workout in. That said, if there is room in the gym, on the turf, for example, you may position yourself there after your time slot has expired. 

Can someone show me how to do the exercises correctly?

Absolutely! We always make sure there’s at least one trainer on the floor in case anybody needs any assistance.

What fitness level is required for HIIT classes?

Our HIIT classes are designed for any fitness level, from beginners to advanced. It is up to you to make it as easy or as hard as you want.

Can I use the downstairs Astroturf?

As long as there are no bookings, you’re free to use it. 

However, please, ask one of our staff members about the Astroturf availability beforehand.
