The probLEm

On a national level: We are losing touch with our health; heart disease & diabetes continue to rise; musculoskeletal pain is becoming more prevalent; stress, anxiety & depression are at all-time highs and solving these health problems can be pretty expensive; both personally and societally.

On a conscious level: We are losing touch with what health and fitness should be about; fitness marketing should not make us more self-conscious about our bodies, quick fixes should not be the go-to & the thought of going to the gym should not make us anxious.

On a personal level: We are losing touch with our bodies and our ability to manage our overall wellness. We are bombarded with information, and our attention is being pulled in every direction.

our solution

To provide a value-driven service in line with best practices within the realms of health and fitness that supports the development of autonomous wellness at a price point that makes it available to everyone. We aim to achieve this through our group training model, delivered in a positive, supportive training facility. Our group training model principal values are: Be Present, Bring Energy & Connect.

what our group training model offers you

  • Tracking your progress made easy

We will help you track how your body changes (strength gains, body composition changes, mobility improvements, endurance development etc.).

  • Realistic targets for all modalities of health and fitness

Our standards board allows you to pick focused areas (mobility, skill, strength, endurance, cardiovascular health etc.) to gauge where you're at and how you're progressing.

  • Continuous assessment incorporated into your training

Our training model constantly assesses different fitness markers based on our standards board. Each week we focus on something different.

  • Individualisation of your training plan

We will individualise your training plan based on objective data. Our Tuesday and Thursday training sessions are designed to address your mobility & stability imbalances. We also provide targeted addon programmes at no extra cost (e.g. shouder prehab plan, squat mobility plan, posture improvement plan).

  • An educational model

We design our group training to educate so you can become autonomous in your health and fitness journey. Each week we pick focus topics that apply to your time in the gym and at home.

  • Onsite and Online Training all in one

We take a combined approach to our clients' training by offering access to our online training content and programmes, all as part of their membership.

  • Highly trained coaching staff focused on you

Our coaching staff's duty is to guide you through the process and provide as much value as possible along the way. Their role requires them to have group training members as top priority!

  • A support team

Our staff operate as part of a multidisciplinary team which meets regularly to discuss our group training clients, how we can provide you with the most value, and how to solve problems. This team has decades of experience and includes people from multiple backgrounds; Personal Training, Strength & Conditioning, Physiotherapy & Social Psychology.

OUR TRAINING ENVIRONMENT

OUR values

Be present

Being present is about being mindful and engaged in your training. As much as possible, we want to eliminate distractions of a wandering mind and bring awareness to what we are doing at that moment. Your training time should be time to yourself where you can focus on your health. Your training time should be a time free from life stress and worry. Your training time should be an engaging process that gets you out of your head and into your body.

Bring energy

Bringing energy is about being positive, having a growth mindset and moving forwards. We want to put you in a positive, forward-moving environment so the group’s momentum can rub off on you. By bringing your own energy, your own personality, to the group, you’ll enjoy your training more. By bringing your own energy and engaging in the process, you’ll start doing the things needed to reach your goals. By bringing your own energy, we’ll get to know you better and be able to fine-tune your overall plan. Our job is to lay out the plan as clearly as we can & do our best to guide you through it. Your job is to just keep moving forward.

Connect

Ultimately being present and bringing energy leads to our final value, Connect. When you are positively engaged in a process, it brings about change. Our approach, our group training, is designed to bring about a change to your overall fitness and wellness by making you grittier and giving you more self-control. To get the most out of the journey and to fully commit to this change, we encourage you to Connect. Connect with your body; the movements you’re learning, the restrictions you’re addressing, the sound of your breath when you’re pushing. Connect with the process; watch your strength increase, your body become more flexible, your cardio improve. Connect with those around you who are on a similar journey; say hello to others in your training group, invite a friend to workout with you, engage with our coaching staff to navigate through uncertainty.

New Course Structure

Our classes are best suited for, but not limited to, beginner to intermediate trainees. That would be anyone who is working out 2-5 hours a week in the gym with or without other forms of exercise at home such as physical labor, walking, running, cycling, swimming etc. We do have some advance trainees in the class that also attend the gym outside class hours.

Our classes are divided into two categories;

Group Training Course

And

Open Classes

Group Training Course (Course)

In our Group Training Course we provide more technical coaching. This is the best way for us to develop our clients movement quality and gym competency. By working with a reserved group of members we can focus on the groups overall development/progress while making time for individual interaction and problem solving. This is more appropriate for people who have foundational movement knowledge and are some way familiar with the gym and exercise technique. We are beginning this course structure in our Monday, Wednesday & Friday 6:30am classes from Monday 15th January on a reservation basis. We will also apply this structure to Monday, Wednesday & Friday 5:30pm class starting Monday 15th January, but it will be available to all current PM class members.

Open Classes (S&C)

Our open classes have more emphasis on participation for all levels and are open to newcomers and drop-ins/PAYG who want to get a taste of our class style. Our coaches will typically spend more time ensuring beginners are catered for in this class but overall the class will provide the intermediate (and advanced) trainee with a good workout. This is a great starting point, and a favourite of some of our long term members. We encourage more intermediate trainees to progress to our Group Training Course if they want exposure to more technical coaching.

This class structure is designed to provide you options for your training, and to create a comfortable training environment for both Trainee and Coach so that we can deliver value.

Price increase FAQ

Due to an increase in minimum wage, business running costs, and cost of living, we are adjusting some of our prices from 15th January 2024 onwards. We did our best to absorb these increases in costs over the last few years.

With these adjustments we feel we will be able to provide a better service and more long term security for our team.

The minimum wage adjustment in Ireland is a factor in our decision to enhance team compensation, ensuring fair and competitive pay standards.

Coaching excellence remains a priority. Our coaching team will continue weekly group discussions to enhance problem-solving skills and ensure a better service to you.

Personal Training services will see improvements, including tailored programs, bonus facility access, discounted programming, and physiotherapy options.

Our classes are divided into two categories—Group Training Course for technical coaching and Open Classes for all levels. The Group Training Course is ideal for those with foundational movement knowledge, while Open Classes cater to all fitness levels.

Class pricing adjustments will be made to reflect the value-added services and improvements. Detailed information is available in (https://www.fit100hq.com/class/).

The changes are set to roll out in the 15th of January 2024.

Reach out to us at [fit100hq@gmail.com]. We’re here to address any concerns or provide additional details.

FAQ

You must be at least 16 to avail of a gym or class membership.

We recommend you bring a yoga mat, a small towel and water.

If you have pain we recommend you see a physiotherapist and adhere to their advice on whether exercise classes are appropriate or not. We do make individual adjustments to sessions to accommodate attendees' restrictions. It's important to note that you will be in a group setting so the coach won't be with you for the whole session.

Yes, newbies to the gym & classes are most welcome. We even have a New Member Guidebook to make your on-ramp process as smooth as possible.

We have a limit to the numbers in our class and in our facility at any one time, thus you must book a training slot every time you come to the gym. This pre-booking ensures you have a slot in our class or a rack space to workout in if you’re just using the gym. Each rack space includes a barbell, bench and weights. We believe your time is precious, so when you’re in the gym we want you to workout, not stand around. 👍

Unfortunately, due to covid-19 restrictions, we have had to cancel all kid classes. Right now we cannot say when they will be back. However, we do offer personal training at a discounted rate for u16. They can work with a trainer 1-1 or they can come in a group with their friends, which works out a little cheaper. You will find the rates here: https://www.fit100hq.com/personal-training/, UNDER 16 PERSONAL TRAINING. 👍 If you are only interested in these classes we can add you to our mailing list so you’ll get an email the moment we get the classes back up and running 😀.

The minimum age is 16. However we do allow under 16’s to use the gym if we feel they can train safely & are under the guidance of a Trainer. We offer Personal Training at a discounted rate for u16. They can work with a trainer 1-1 or they can come in a group with their friends, which works out a little cheaper. You will find the rates here: https://www.fit100hq.com/personal-training/, UNDER 16 PERSONAL TRAINING. 👍

We do not have a buddy discount at present. We have put a lot of work into our membership prices and we feel they are competitive and fair. Instead of offering buddy rates or newcomer promotions, we instead focus on providing value to our existing members. If you are still interested in a membership you can find a breakdown of all our options here: https://www.fit100hq.com/gym/ 👍

We have a limited number of available slots at any given hour. If you reserve a slot in a fully booked training time but do not cancel in time, someone else will miss out. By keeping a track of check-ins we are able to see if people are attending their slots.

Check-ins are done through the app after you’ve reserved a slot. 👍

Your workout is limited because of a number of reasons. We know your time is precious so we operate on a slot booking basis, this ensures that there is space for you to train when you reserve a slot. We don’t like gyms where you have to spend half your time standing around. To provide the same service for the group after you we have to set a time limit on your slot. Typically slots are 1 hour 15 minutes. Our members have found that to be ample time to get a workout in. That said, if there is room in the gym, on the turf, for example, you may position yourself there after your time slot has expired.

Absolutely! We always make sure there’s at least one trainer on the floor in case anybody needs any assistance.

If you’re not sure about something, please, don’t hesitate to ask one of the trainers, they’ll be happy to help 🙂

Our HIIT classes are designed for any fitness level, from beginners to advanced. It is up to you to make it as easy or as hard as you want.

As long as there are no bookings, you’re free to use it.

However, please, ask one of our staff members about the Astroturf availability beforehand.
